Money Matters Class Money Matters took this lesson beyond the classroom with a visit to Jazzy Junque Resale Shop! The Wranglers practiced building a budget, calculating discounts, comparing prices, and using coupons during Jazzy Junque’s 18th birthday celebration. They got a closer look at how the resale shop operates, from donation intake to the process behind getting items ready for the sales floor. The Wranglers also learned why Jazzy Junque matters to New Danville: the shop exists to support our mission, with sales revenue helping fund the programs and opportunities our community depends on. It was a hands-on way to practice money management while seeing firsthand how Jazzy Junque gives back to New Danville!

The message behind this colorful mural is one we see lived out every day at New Danville. Through friendships, encouragement, and shared experiences, our Wranglers help shape the welcoming community we know and love. We’re grateful for the people who make New Danville such a special place to live, learn, work, and grow.

Money Matters: Building Confidence One Dollar at a Time

Our new Money Matters class is about so much more than learning to budget. Participants are discovering the true value of money by exploring the difference between needs and wants, making thoughtful spending decisions, and learning practical ways to stretch every dollar.

Through hands-on activities, real-life scenarios, and plenty of laughter, our clients are building confidence and independence with money management. And, of course, it's all brought to life in the fun-filled, creative way that only New Danville DSPs can make happen!

We had a flock-tastic time at last week’s Pink Flamingo Party!

A huge thank you to the 5 O'Clock Phlock Parrot Head Club for hosting another amazing celebration benefiting New Danville. From DJ music, dancing, and karaoke to pizza, party photos, and fun with friends, our Wranglers enjoyed an incredible evening full of laughter and unforgettable memories.

Sunshine Day at the Montgomery County Fair

What a fantastic turnout we had at this year’s Sunshine Day Fair Show! Our clients look forward to this special event all year long, and this year’s incredible participation made it even more memorable. Our clients truly put their hearts into their projects, and it showed in every detail—from stunning photography to beautifully crafted woodworking pieces. Serving Beyond Our Community Walls

In a beautiful act of service, a group of Meadowbrook residents stepped beyond the property to lend their hands and hearts at The Woodlands First Baptist Church. There, they took part in creating clay pieces that were carefully placed into molds—each one destined for a greater purpose. Once painted, these pieces will be sent to churches across the country, helping to share messages of hope and faith far beyond our local community. It was a day filled with purpose, unity, and the quiet joy that comes from making a difference together.

Kite Flying at New Danville

What do we do at New Danville on a beautiful, breezy day? We go fly a kite, of course!

While others were grumbling about the wind, our Maverick clients saw nothing but opportunity. With 42 acres of open space stretching out before them, that steady breeze became the perfect invitation for laughter, bright smiles, and some good old-fashioned fun.

Kites of every color danced across the sky as clients and staff worked together to launch them higher and higher. Cheers rang out with each successful takeoff, and a few tangled strings only added to the giggles. It was a simple pleasure—but sometimes the simplest moments are the most meaningful.

At New Danville, we believe joy can be found in the little things: fresh air, wide-open fields, and time spent together. On this breezy day, our Mavericks turned what some saw as bluster into a sky full of celebration—proving once again that a little wind is all you need to lift spirits.

We’re excited to announce that Scott Harper begins serving as Chairman for New Danville Board of Directors!

Scott brings more than 23 years of nonprofit leadership experience and currently serves as President of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce. His background also includes leadership roles with YMCA organizations in both Tampa and Houston, giving him a deep understanding of mission-driven work and community impact.

Widely respected as a relationship builder and collaborative leader, Scott has spent his career working alongside boards, donors, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen organizations and help them grow with purpose. His experience in strategic leadership and organizational stewardship will be a tremendous asset as New Danville continues expanding programs and opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We’re deeply grateful for Scott’s heart for service and leadership, and look forward to the impact he will help guide in the years ahead. Please join us in welcoming him!

Honoring David’s Legacy Through Love and Generosity

At New Danville, we often say we are more than a program—we are a family. When one of our Wranglers passes, we all feel the loss. Earlier this year, we said goodbye to David Anthony, a beloved member of both our Day Program and our Meadowbrook community. David brought warmth, humor, and heart to the ranch, and his presence is deeply missed by friends, fellow Wranglers, and staff alike.

 In the midst of our grief, we were touched by a beautiful act of kindness. Teresa Baker made a generous donation to New Danville in loving memory of David. Her gift not only honors his life but also strengthens the community that meant so much to him.

 Memorial gifts like Teresa’s reflect something powerful: the belief that every life leaves an imprint, and that we can carry that legacy forward by supporting others. Her generosity will help provide meaningful programs, safe and independent living, enriching experiences, and compassionate support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities—just as David experienced during his time here.

At New Danville, we are committed to helping each Wrangler live, learn, work, and grow in a place where they truly belong. Donations to our general operations fund are vital to sustaining this mission. They keep our ranch thriving, our programs strong, and our community connected. Most importantly, they ensure that every adult we serve has the opportunity to lead a life filled with dignity, purpose, and joy.

Our movie night featuring Halloweentown was a great success, bringing everyone together for an evening of laughter and connection.
