New Stop Motion Video Class Brings Stories to Life!
Our new stop motion video class is giving clients a chance to bring their creativity to the screen! With guidance from DSP Chris, participants are designing their own characters and learning both the storytelling and technical sides of stop motion animation. It's been amazing to watch their imaginations come to life, one frame at a time.

Feathered Friends & Helping Hands

Huge Thanks to The Woodlands Methodist Church Geezer Squad for building our brand-new chicken coop!

Thanks to their skilled hands and generous hearts, this project has taken flight—creating more opportunities for our Wranglers to learn, grow, and thrive through our Small Animal Care program. The new coop will house dozens of chickens and support the expansion of one of our most beloved enrichment offerings.

This meaningful addition was made possible through a generous grant from the Montgomery County Community Foundation. By partnering with the Geezer Squad for construction, we were able to stretch that funding even further—bringing together community spirit, craftsmanship, and a shared love for our mission.

We’re deeply grateful for the teamwork that brought this vision to life.

Thanks to you, our 2025 Spring Thing Luncheon was a joyful celebration of 20 incredible years of New Danville — two decades of dignity, opportunity, and community.

We are deeply grateful for your support. Because of your generosity, we didn’t just meet our fundraising goal — we surpassed it! And even after the luncheon ended, gifts continued to pour in, doubling the amount pledged during the event.

As a parent and board member, Connie Mahaffey understands firsthand the importance of New Danville’s mission. With her daughter in the Day Program and living in Meadowbrook for over 14 years, she advocates for a community that empowers Wranglers and supports their families. Connie treasures every moment spent with residents—whether helping at home or enjoying activities—watching them grow in independence and confidence. Seeing the joy they find in their friendships and personal growth is why she serves.

As New Danville celebrates its 20th anniversary, we reflect on the people and organizations that have shaped our journey. Among them, Kings Bingo stands out as one of our most significant and steadfast supporters, fueling our mission to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Founded in 2012 by Hank Anawaty, Kings Bingo has always placed charities at the heart of its business. From its earliest days, New Danville was one of Kings Bingo’s original charity partners, forming a bond that has only strengthened over time. What began as a hopeful collaboration has grown into a transformative partnership, with Kings Bingo contributing a remarkable $1,500,000 over the past 13 years to help sustain and expand New Danville’s programs.

This year marks an incredible milestone for New Danville—our 20th Anniversary. As we look ahead to the future, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey that brought us here. Throughout the year, we will be sharing glimpses of New Danville's rich history, celebrating the moments, people, and ideas that shaped our community into what it is today.

Vego Garden Give Back Program
New Danville is honored to be a recipient of the Vego Garden Give Back Program.  As a leader in gardening innovation, Vego Garden has dedicated continued efforts in it’s quest to give back to communities.  Since the program’s inception, they have partnered with a total of 100 influential community organizations, and we are proud that they selected New Danville!  The raised bed donation is being used in our gardening program where our Wranglers have planted and are nurturing flowers, tomato plants and basil this year.  Thank you Vego Garden!
