Wildflower Festival

New Danville volunteers enjoyed participating in the annual Wildflower Festival held at the Cochran’s Crossing Shopping Center in The Woodlands on Saturday, October 27, 2007. Festival-goers were able to see displays of native plants, environmental exhibits and booths with nature-related gift items for sale. New Danville had various garden related items available for purchase and proceeds from these sales were used to enhance our day programs. The festival also included a free petting zoo, pony rides, strolling performers and other kid-friendly activities. New Danville will use this annual event to showcase environmentally friendly products which will be made and sold by New Danville Wranglers. Instructors and Wranglers are currently working on developing several unique, good-looking, and functional hand-crafted products that will appeal to local consumers. They look forward to having the opportunity to mingle with others and share the fruits of their labor. We would like to thank those that volunteered their time to come out and support the continued growth of New Danville and those that sponsored this fun-filled community event.
